Pros – People we work with are great

Cons – Lack of information from management about everything leaves you speculating about everything. "Bonuses" do not exist and there is no talk of why or when they might exist.

Advice to Senior Management – Communicate more, and try stick to what you say to some degree. Quarterly conference calls with the entire company are not useful, they are a waste of time and almost demoralizing. Award those that deserve it. Not everyone is a producer in this company, but they appear to be the only ones that matter.

Pros – Liberal time off policy. You will really appreciate your next job!

Cons – Weak management at the executive level which naturally permeates through the entire organization. Old boy network, cronyism and "might makes right" mentality.

Advice to Senior Management – Previous reviewer said it best, lead by example. Stop turning a blind eye to poor ethics and misconduct within the executive ranks. Stop stuffing your pockets at others expense.

Pros – Very liberal with hours worked and time off requests

Cons – Poor management and poor leadership.
Pay is substandard. The managers make a lot of money, but they don't sell. Yet, they push you to sell more and they are never happy, even when you kick butt in a month.
Avoid working here if at all possible.

Advice to Senior Management – Pay the producers more. Implement profit sharing. Quit leading from the rear and lead by example. Management thru fear and intimidation is not productive.

Disconnect between corporate and other offices

Advice to Senior Management – Let the leaders in the individual markets lead, butt out.

Pros – The work life balance is great. I work with good people and enjoy coworker company while outside of work as well.

Cons – No idea what the career path is. I have no clue where, when, why, or how to take the next step.

Advice to Senior Management – People are fed up with the non existent bonus structure that is referred to by management. No growth in salary is also very disappointing.

Pros – The best reason to work at Beecher Carlson is that I haven't found another job yet. Most of the people in the trenches are good people and make it bearable.

Cons – Extremely weak management that are only concerned with making more money for themselves and not sharing any with employees. Worst communication I have ever experienced.

Advice to Senior Management – Everyone knows you are all talk with no ability.

Cons – Company has been in acquisition mode at the expense of validating very competent employees

Pros – Beecher has attracted some of the best people in the industry - great coworkers. Well known, high profile clients - lots of client interaction.

Cons – Strategy changes every 30-60-90 days, success feels like a moving target. Not much focus on training or development. They talk big but don't deliver when it comes to how they treat employees.

Advice to Senior Management – Communicate with employees. Create systems/programs for professional and personal development.

Cons – Lack of proper compensation and poor supervisors

Advice to Senior Management – Watch for hardworking, strong employees who want to learn and grow in the company & properly compensate them for the job they are doing.
