Cons – Frequent lay-offs, Frequent changes of mission, goals, plans, vision. Negative inside competition

Cons – Biogen lays off high-salaried employees and replaces them with younger cheaper people

Pros – Being a contractor at my previous company was not a good experience. However, compared to my last contract assignment, being a contractor at Biogen Idec as been a great experience. The group that I'm assigned to has really been great to work with. My manager has been flexible with my work hours. And it does seem like Biogen Idec takes care of it's permanent employees.

Cons – I have heard other employees mumble about seniority does not matter here, especially if you're a little outspoken.

Pros – The people! Who would have thought you would meet so many great people working in an analytics lab. I really loved going to work everyday due to the positive atmosphere at this company.

Cons – There aren't many cons. I suppose the layoffs are a con but otherwise working at Biogen Ides was pretty great. They treated us well.
