Pros – since leaving, management have changed, so i hear they are doing better. IT was originally outsourced, then the company bought up our contracts, so people cheered up.
Cons – 30-50ish calls a day
high volume of calls due to outages
stationary at your desk/all remote support across EMEA
supported around 600 or 6000 employees amongst several people ( i hear they have more IT staff now though)
felt very much like working in a call centre
a lot of politics, and unhappy staff
no real pay rises at the time..
Advice to Senior Management – speak to your employees and get everyones views, people have a lot on their chests there, and incentive to train and better themselves,,,no body wants to answer calls all day, and then when offered other work to do, have to do this on top of calls.. thats too much..
otherwise, just keep up the good work and keep improving the place like you are.

Pros – Great office locations in London, Team social events and the annual quiz
Cons – An "US and Them" feel between Fee Earners and Non Fee Earners. Lack of responsibility, micro management, poor work ethic, lack of flexibility with working from home, very long hours in the office, No sense of a work life balance, poor progression potential.
Advice to Senior Management – Get with the times.

Pros – Global brand - people outside the industry are more impressed than those inside due to branding and image of the firm
Cons – Process driven, internal politics, always saying client comes first when CBRE comes first sometimes at the expense of the client
Advice to Senior Management – stop tinkering about with systems, listen to the ranks that actually do the work as to how best to should be done and let them get on with doing it rather than filling in pointless forms and getting on planes to meetings in Scotland.

Pros – CBRE truly focuses on the corporate values of Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence. All employees are treated with respect and are supported through their career.
Cons – There seems to be a lack of continuity between countries and an unclear vision (or execution) of the 'global' approach of the organization from leadership.
Advice to Senior Management – View the company as a global organization and not shiloed by country or line of business. We have an amazing opportunity to leverage all of our experience and opportunities to really serve our customers.

Pros – Great working atmosphere, i.e. working remotely is available after only 90 days of service, this is a fantastic benefit and available for nearly all accounting positions (as long as you work at a Center of Excellence)
Cons – You can work 24/7 and it still won't be enough for senior management, expect to give up vacations, family time and really any free time you think you will have for the job, and expect a 0% salary increase at review time for your efforts.

Pros – Nice, friendly people overall. Really smart, talented people but down to earth.
You can learn a lot.
Cons – Brokers are nice but there is no real structure or effective work flow between the marketing team and the brokers. If you are with the right team, you are fine. Nobody likes to share data or marketing materials, which I find to be completely crazy.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't just listen to your brokers. Develop a better system where everyone is involved and can share information for the good of the entire company.
