I have been working at CBRE

    Pros

The people you work with are best in class and you can learn a lot. You also get to work on large projects and instructions which are the most talked about in the industry.

    Cons

Large hierachical organisation, it can be hard to be heard at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More transparent bonus structure - too many people rewarded for mediocre performance.

    I worked at CBRE

    Pros

Big name, with endless career opportunities

    Cons

Staff are mixed - sheer size of the organisation means that it is too easy for poorly-performing employees to 'hide'

    Pros

    Cons

Very US focused, with EMEA seen as a nuisance that has to be tolerated.

    EMEA business very fragmented.

I worked at CBRE full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good job, people, location, pay, benefits. It used to be a fantastic place to work, until a systems change imposed by the US

    Cons

Peoplesoft - imposed by CBRE USA on the rest of the world. An extremely hard to use system. The previous system was miles better! All done in the name of "globalisation" - absolute rubbish! Also, have certain accounts and IT functions spread across 3 countries is ridiculous!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

For CBRE USA - If it aint broke don't try to fix it. Let each country handle is own finance and IT functions. For CBRE UK - carry on as you are. Maybe introduce flexitime?
