Former Employee - Regional Facilities Manager in Denver, CO (US)

    Pros

The pay was good and there was some autonomy when it came to leading your individual team.

    Cons

Management is very disorganized and distant from the staff. Lots of mundane data collection and an over emphasis on reporting made it dificult to focus on core responsibilities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get back to the basics of FM and stop constantly trying to reinvent yourselves. CBRE can be a great company but it's time to invest a little more back into the employees.

Current Employee - Property Management in Washington, DC (US)

    Pros

Lots of resources - more than any other firm. Great clients and excellent training. Very ethical and sets high standards for all levels of employee. Very safe place to work - very conservatively run.

    Cons

A very big company. Pretty easy to get lost in the bigness of it all. Pretty stingy with benefits and not very willing to spend money on employees to boost satisfaction or morale. Compensation trends below market.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be so stingy with the small things that make work a pleasure and help employees feel appreciated. Pay market compensation to attract the very best people.
