    Pros

    Exposure to everyday medical technology and working on important projects for a company that has large market share.

    Cons

    Management is out of touch with the work force. No trust between business units, and in some cases, there's actual turf wars that have been raging for years. Quality processes are bureaucratic and ineffective. Managers turn a deaf ear to quality concerns from their engineering subordinates.

    Give more credence to technical experts.

    Everything is structured, it's clear what your job is, work life is very relaxed you can come into work whenever you want

    Cons

    gets dull at times. working on the patient care unit all the time, there isn't that much grow in learning

    Good people (mostly) working there.

    Cons

    They had stealth terminations; every couple of weeks you'd hear of some more people you know being laid off. Never knew when or if you'd be next.

    Pros

    Broad product set with lots of opportunities for growth by moving roles within teams / business units. Strong focus on patient safety and helping to improve the safety of caregivers and patients.

    Cons

    Lack of innovation - lots of lip service but most projects are evolutionary extensions of sacred cow projects.
    Too much focus on short term revenue opportunities and not enough long term strategic planning / execution.
    Management promotes those who micro-manage and are punitive. Lip service about collaboration and employee satisfaction when what they really want is results at any cost.

    Focus on the long term sustainable competitive advantages
    Cultivate true innovation by starting new projects and investing in new technologies / opportunities
    Stop micro managing - believe in your teams, give them freedom to be responsible

    Awesome benefits, great project Field Service Position are awesome.

    Cons

    Management and leadership sometimes could be hard due the rules and regulations. Training are very fast pace. So keep it in mind.

    Pros

    Stable workplace with rewarding work that really helps people. Very moving success stories and a lot of good people to work with. Interact with a lot of diverse groups and ahve the ability to work in a variety of areas.

    Cons

    A very large company with big company problems. Sometimes it's hard to get moving on certain projects becasue of politics. Seems interested in fostering career growth, but then takes no action to prove that they actually are interested versus just telling you what you want to hear. Senior management seems distant at times and are too busy to interact directly, instead they rely on top down and bottom up communication.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    If you really are interested in help your employees along their career, then give your managers the ability to add or modify positions that would keep people on their paths and help them stay motivated and loyal rather than tightening the budget so tight that changind head counts are nearly impossible. Also, change the compensation plans away from an average and let higher ranked employees get better increases without affecting anyone else.

    Good Work life balance. (Depends on your manager though. ..some teams are happy and some are suffering)
    Good Benefits - meets industry standards

    Cons

    Lots of cost and budget cuts. That has downward impact on what and how much resources are available
    Culture has shifted from value creation to CYA and Back stabbing

    Bring back the culture that previous management had created
