Pros – Flexibility, understanding and caring management. Opportunity for advancement.

Cons – I have no specific cons to add. However, I will state that each business group runs like an individual company and you have to be cautious about "stepping on toes" by following the chain of command.

Advice to Senior Management – The advice from what I have heard from fellow colleagues is to place a greater awareness on advancement opportunities for women colleagues. While the industry is male dominated, there is a lack of presence of female VP's within upper management.

Pros – The people are very nice. It is a blue collar work environment where the employees are accepting people.

Cons – Lack of vision or clear leadership.

Advice to Senior Management – Take the time to get to know your team.

Pros – people are nice at work place, at least looks like

Cons – interns are asked to do the crapy work that engineers dont like to do.
hard to find someone willing to mentor you
supervisors are too busy to put time into interns

Pros – Health and financial (retirement savings) benefits are very good. Many of the employees are very friendly and easy to work with.

Cons – You really never know when the next large layoff will occur. At least some of the management is inexperienced. They and and many of their employees are severely over-burdened and underpaid.

Advice to Senior Management – Enjoy your abuse of power, for when the economy improves, many of your employees will inevitably leave.

Pros – People are very nice and easy to work with
communications between employees are effective

Cons – 1 I did two semesters of Coop at Chart Industries working in two different department, none of them care about interns. Supervisors are so busy that they barely have time to meet with the intern. They have interns do repetitive boring jobs that full time employees are not willing to do. I did not learn much besides some basic ProE knowledge.

2 The work is intense but the pay is really the minimum compared to the rates for interns in the industry.

Advice to Senior Management – Care more about interns and invest more time in them as they are the potential future assets of the company.

Pros – Working at Chart provides exceptional opportunity to advance in your career in terms of increasing your knowledge and experience. Benefits are quite good.

Cons – Compensation seems to lag behind the industry average. Information exchange between business units is quite difficult at times. You are ultimately responsible for team building. Bring a positive attitude with you; this company needs more folks that are upbeat and cheerful.

Advice to Senior Management – Provide more team building company events. Do whatever it takes to build morale. Chart has good people, but they need to be commended or rewarded for their contributions.

Cons – Poor communcations internally and quicker decisions.

Advice to Senior Management – Stop the engineers who try to sell, go back to a sales based company

Pros – Office location is very good. Easy wok, good team work, good products, competitive LNG technology in market. Future is very good.

Cons – Current business is slow. Lose management, marketing and sales not strong, not paying attention china market. Good product not very well used.

Advice to Senior Management – Need reorganize management, strength sales and market teams. Need develop newer process technology and product. Build wide partnership with other companies.
