Former Employee – worked at Citizens Financial Group full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – -Great co-workers
-ok time off
-ok incentive
Cons – -Management has such a disconnect with branches. They think that their approach to sales is going to work, what jerks. They need to get their act together, because their sales routines don't work for a happy customer experience. What the hell happened to the "CREDO"
Advice to Senior Management – Maybe management should work in branches for a few weeks and really see how it is, so maybe they could have a better understanding on how to manage better. I was a branch manager in northeast PA, and I had pride in my job until the change happened. It turned me off 100%

Former Employee – worked at Citizens Financial Group full-time for more than a year
Pros – Great people to work with.
Cons – Citizen's Bank only cares about selling anything and everything to customers. There is little to no care about the employees, and the amount of pressure, and unrealistic goals they place on the employees shows the companies lack of integrity. The turn-over rate is absurd, and yet nothing is done to make the employees feel confident about working there.
Advice to Senior Management – Re-do your hold method of operation. It is not working.

Former Employee – worked at Citizens Financial Group full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – solid hourly pay good benefits
Cons – the amount of pressure to produce new checking accounts as a platform person is beyond real! I witnessed many coworkers suffer stress related illnesses just to have them be laid off when they returned. I have witnessed the few that do well lie and cheat customers to get them to open new accounts they had no need for.
Advice to Senior Management – If you want to keep your customer base work more on customer service and less on abusing customers to get new checking accounts. Back off on your employee pressures & performance expectations.

Current Employee – been working at Citizens Financial Group
Pros – Good benefits, ample paid time off
Cons – Poor management on all levels
Advice to Senior Management – Managers of accounts and business lines do not necessarily make them effective managers of employees. Consider carefully those people you delegate to manage a team of people, as it is quite different than merely managing numbers.

Former Employee – worked at Citizens Financial Group full-time for more than a year
Pros – Excellent training programs, wonderful local staff, bonus oppotunities
Cons – Not customer-driven, promotions are based on sales and not leadership abilities, very little/no communication from upper management, huge differences between traditional and in-store
Advice to Senior Management – Pay your employees more generously, focus on customers and not checking accounts, promote leaders instead of salespeople, foster communication and continuity between traditional and in-store branches

Current Employee – been working at Citizens Financial Group full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – the customers are the best. worked there 10 years.some good employee great insurance, good to community projects.
Cons – Managment is lacking maybe ifsome .of these higher up would ask some of these employee why they left. Instead of sitting in and office. Pick some employess and ask why your leaving. Been there 10 years got fired had many customer call and complain who listens to them no one.Ive been home 2 days and recieved 6 calls from customers
Advice to Senior Management – look into the little people that come to work everyday and who are there to take care of customers and make the company look good.Find out why there such a big turn over listen to employee and customers.Because thats what were here for our customers.

Former Employee – worked at Citizens Financial Group full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Decent wages, great health insurance, educational assistance are all pluses. If you work very hard to get sales and become creative with it, you will do very well. I was lucky to have to perfect mix of a great teller team, great branch manager, and great customers.
Cons – Aggressive focus on unrealistic sales goals was a massive contributing factor to high stress and eventual high turnover of staff. The bank needs to realize that it's products and services do not compete with the big banks like Chase or Bank of America. The bank spends a huge sums of money on a marketing program that simply doesn't work. Additionally, many customers and colleagues are tired of the circa 1984 computer system and its crashes. Be wary of certain Regional Managers as they are responsible creating very stressful environments-too many useless conference calls and finger pointing throughout the day if sales goals are not met.
Advice to Senior Management – You are running a bank and not a used car dealership lot. Don't encourage annoying and abrasive sales tactics on your colleagues as it only promotes fraud instead of actual sales.

Former Employee – worked at Citizens Financial Group full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Working relationships with peers and team can be rewarding. Vacation time is unlike anything I have seen elsewhere. Benefits are ok.
Cons – Under such UK control it is hard to do your job effectively or to have any original thoughts. Understand the current ownership structure and the control that requires but in order to effectively run the business there needs to be more flexibility.
