Former Employee – worked at Clear Channel full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Fair, good pay, organised and structured.
Cons – as a private company owned by investors, they are all about the bottom line with nothing else in mind. Employees are just numbers.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Clear Channel full-time
Pros – Want to teach me their ways. And want me to succeed they way they have succeeded. So far so good
Cons – Of course working as a sales rep has its cons but you either learn to work with it and manage your own future financially or you are in the wrong business.

Former Employee – worked at Clear Channel full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – You get to work for one of the largest companies in the world. The name "Clear Channel" looks good on paper.
Cons – This was once a great company to work for....8+ years ago! It has gradually gone down hill. I wish it could be blamed on the hard economic times, which, yes has contributed to how they treat their employees, but sadly I think it's more about how the company is managed. They once cared about their employees and treated you like family. The perks were once great. Now it's about how much more responsibility they can pile on you, how many more hour you can work and how much faster you can do it all. It's an extremely stressful environment. I always got overlooked for the work and hours I put in. If they dont like you, they will make your life miserable until you leave. They never fire anyone because they dont want to deal with unemployment. The turnover is really high because no one wants to work for a company that treats their employees so poorly.
Advice to Senior Management – Get back to what you once were or the company will go under. Start caring about your employees and treating them with dignity and respect. Or start handing out anxiety medication in your new hire packets, because they are going to need it! Otherwise, you might as well hire robots, because that is the only way the amount of work you demand of your employees will get done without stressing them out and making them constantly sick.

Current Employee – been working at Clear Channel full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Great resources, corporate image, fun industry to be in. Always a new challenge, every day is different. Good career if you enjoy working with new people daily.
Cons – High pressure, no training to grow internally, low pay
Advice to Senior Management – More training, improve culture, increase salaries hence "cheap channel"

Former Employee – worked at Clear Channel full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – International opportunity. Great for sales
Cons – Too inbred. Burdened with a dying business model (radio)
Advice to Senior Management – Look around. You have better managers than the ones you've chosen

Current Employee – been working at Clear Channel part-time for less than a year
Pros – There is no doubt that the people who work in radio are amazing. I have had more laughs at this job than any other, but that is all because of the people that work there.
Cons – The management has no idea what they are doing. They hired a complete robot (often a joke among employees) as the OM. Promotions assistants are at the very bottom of the "food chain", and they treat them like it.
Advice to Senior Management – Management needs to stop being fake. Show some emotion, even some compassion. If someone comes to you telling you that the moral is at an all time low in an entire department, you should not answer with "well if they don't like it here, they should leave." And promotions assistants should never have to babysit talent. If a 40-year-old wants to get drunk at their event, that is not promotion's job to tell anyone to slow down.

Former Employee – worked at Clear Channel
Pros – I met a cool band once.
Cons – I was at my desk listening to music and the large woman who was the manager was like, "TUZrn THAT OFF!!". It was like she had been holding it in for a long time.. HAHAHAHHA!! Also calling people all day just to set up boring interviews? I would rather swim in a swamp for missing golf balls and sell them for $1.00 each.
Advice to Senior Management – Actually they were pretty nice.

Former Employee – worked at Clear Channel full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Always great to have the opportunity to meet todays and tomorrows upcoming stars. Enjoyed the few and far between perks of sports & entertainment tickets.
Cons – Painfully witnessed the parade of account execs hired and fired in less than 6 months. The effect of this takes it's toll on the others that remain. If you can't handle constant change in direction, colleagues, and managers this job is not for you.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
