Pros – Great Colleagues
Great Customers
Some very smart and market savvy people on the team
Have some really good and well established products

Cons – Too Focused on Numbers not People
Have good sales but product quality has declined significantly since Engineering and Product Management moved to the UK in 2005
More concerned with profit than customer satisfaction. "Tell us what you need and we will tell you how to manage without it" mentality from Product Management/Engineering
Product Management and Engineering are too removed from the market and customer needs and are some 20 years behind on new technology and its potential and implementation
Have suffered from a complete lack of any quality control for 5+ years (Now in place since new owners purchased the company)
Insular PM and Enginereing departments do not listen to feedback from the Field Sales and Engineers or to the Market in general and base the product development on what is easy not what is needed.
Producst are not very intuitive and are very support intensive

Advice to Senior Management – Listen to those who know the market and the Customers needs
Listen to those who are telling you where the product needs improvement
Insist on PM and ENG backing up their decisions with field data and market requirements that cover more than just one or two customers input.
Get Product Mangers out in the field so they can see the product in use and understand the requirements of the market and the challenges that we have to address in order for our products to make our customer's job easier not harder.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
