    Pros

    Respects work life balance
Believes in principles like Managing with respect\
Genuinely tries to care for people

    Cons

Beaurocratic & slow to change. Too many people who have "always done what they are doing"
Weak HR function, not able to implement "stated" policies
You need to fend for ur self for your career & make sure you have someone that matters pitching for you. Specially as you go higher up

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    limit time in each assignment
nurture talent, else you will be stuck with lots of avg people

I worked at Colgate-Palmolive full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

In the past, the company has been very good at move people around - both as long term expats and also on short term assignments (6 months).
The company organized lots of trainings which obviously was very valued by all staff.
Great people to work with - fantastic atmosphere at the office.

    Cons

Not competitive salaries (in Sweden). Too focused on cutting costs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to better understand the limitations of the employees to avoid people leaving the company due to stress and poor work/life balance.

I worked at Colgate-Palmolive as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

    Great people to work with.
You can be innovative without borders.
    They respect personal education time.
Great company... to put on your resume.

    Cons

Salary sucks if you're a BP, contract or temporary.
Personal growth is only available if you look for it yourself.
Management is not really there for you most of the times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't hire BP, contract or temporary people. You're making great potential employees for OTHER companies and creating those so called "career advancement" outside of Colgate-Palmolive.

I worked at Colgate-Palmolive full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Good Dental Benefits.
    Company Store.
    Few Good Co-workers. Summer hours.
    Meet Wall Street expectation.

    Cons

Great place to work. But has changed a lot in past few years.
Clueless Middle Managers without any technical or Management skills.
Fake or Completely non existence HR.. Your manager is HR and he dictates policies. Which are based upon liking. 3rd party Mirco runs the business ( kickbacks). ESC is completely unethical department. All CP principles like Valuing CP, MWR are violated. If you complain you'r are pretty much done. Your career is at dead end.
3rd party does all good project work. You are stuck with all garbage work. No DR planning.. Good Luck if something goes really wrong in Pisct.. You better sell your stock! Director is completely clueless from old school .Doesn't even know how to spell IT... Out of 12 months 7 months he is travelling.. You only hear him when there is production machine downtime as his bonus is tied.. Otherwise he has no interest to listen to you..
Lack of training. Blame games. No leadership skills. Complete Chaos place for real techies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of middle managers.. will save company lot of money. They are useless. Look at your DR..
You will never recover.. Good Luck! Give to IBM.
