Advice to Senior Management – It is easy to look at numbers and make calls on what you can see. It is harder to be couragous and taking-risk to head the company to the future growth. Without a mindset change, the company is going away sooner or later.

Former Employee – worked at Corel
Pros – Corel has some great products with very affordable prices that compete with the best of them. The every day employees are the best and hardest working you'll ever work with.
Cons – The company is owned by a private equity firm that goes through layoffs 2-3x/year and trims budgets to levels that hurt everyone and everything involved, the products, the employees and the customers. It hires way too many contract people, denying them job security, benefits and vacation. People with 10+ years tenure have been laid off w/o notice.
Advice to Senior Management – If you want a successful company, I suggest you invest in both the employees and the products instead of seeing how much sweat you can squeeze out of your increasingly unhappy and discouraged employees.
