I worked at Crane Co.
Pros – Good salary and benefits, Great co-workers who are always ready and willing to help one another. Great products.
Cons – Still an "Old Boys Club" even though management tries to deny it. Management can be disrespectful and lack management skills. No Work/Life balance. No chance of advancement. Stressful, authoritative structure. Too many managers not enough workers. Most employees are dissatisfied and waiting for the opportunity to leave when the economy improves.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to employees. Set realistic goals. Show some respect.

I worked at Crane Co.
Pros – Strong compensation package. Willingness to invest in the business and business improvment. Intelligent workforce and management. Well documented policies. Global opportunities.
Cons – Below average relocation policy. Rigid view of career progression. Limited training and development support. Little to no personal connection between the organization and employees (at all levels). No real company culture, more a combination of many organizations under one umbrella. Limited ability to move between companies.
