Former Employee – worked at Ecolab full-time for more than a year
Pros – The company benefits are good.
Training is excellent you.
If you work hard and focus you can climb the ladder but it is very competitive.
Cons – When you 1st start they make it seem like the sky is the limit but in reality it is much harder to climb the corporate ladder.
There is not a lot of work life balance even though that is something they promote.
Pay raise is low.
Advice to Senior Management – Better appreciation of employees and more opportunities for advancement.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Ecolab full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – For pest technicians it is low pay , poor morale , two different companies here , the US version and the much poorer UK version
Cons – Unlike the us benefits are for the management only , if you are at the bottom then you certainly know it.
No room for progession , Poor upper management , no support in the field
Advice to Senior Management – Come and live on our wages and conditions , stop trying to run this company from your laptop and get out in the field and see what us UK techs have to cope with

Former Employee – worked at Ecolab full-time for more than a year
Pros – Very easy job, not much stress
Cons – Very little uk, employee value, this is a company that prides itself on loyalty to the company, but there is NO financial reward. If your looking for a progressive UK company, this ones is currently not it. Major middle/upper management issues. Poor business models, clients leaving as quick as possible. Ashame, with the right focus could be a good company to work for...
Advice to Senior Management – The people doing the TM role, are the frontline, they are the ones who go out and see the customers on a day-to-day basis. If you cant talk to them with an honest and rewarding future, then tell them, dont keep them in the dark. Nobody likes to try and create a career where the goalposts are never set/near.

Current Employee – been working at Ecolab full-time for less than a year
Pros – It is a positive environment with everyone looking to help everyone else to make the company succeed in all areas. Great opportunities to move up and stay within the company.
Cons – I have nothing bad to say about this company because it is a great place to work with chances to work across the country and world.

Current Employee – been working at Ecolab
Pros – Good people, good training, great benefits.
Cons – Serious lack of communication as to progress and status of employment.
Advice to Senior Management – If you're going to fire someone, work with them a little more, and don 't blind-side them with being replaced; it's cowardly.
Remove the attitude of "you're in the weeds, so anything you say is wrong anyway, so I'm not going to listen" from the regional managers. Mine wouldn't even consider that I was right on a tracking document that was accurate down to the gallon. I know she didn't look at it, because she said it was improperly tallying quantities and projections, when THREE other senior (as in years in the field) reps said it was outstanding work. I was struggling, but this was my effort to get back on track, she already didn't like me, and had decided that whatever I said or did was immaterial.

Former Employee – worked at Ecolab full-time for less than a year
Pros – None that can be listed, but if your not part of the good ole boy network you wont go far.
Cons – Too many to list, and not enough time to list them.
Advice to Senior Management – It starts with you, the empty lies and promises that they instill in their district managers to get what they want is ridiculous. They put it out that its a sales job, but as a Route Sales Managers you will spend more time under a dish machine then you ever will selling.

Current Employee – been working at Ecolab full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – There are some really great leaders and employees that have been there for a long time.
Cons – Upper management has changed and it has become a stock performance driven company. Used to be very customer focused and employees were a family. Now it's threats and favorites. They have zero loyalty to their employees anymore, regardless of how long you've been there. I never saw myself leaving until about 6 months ago.
Advice to Senior Management – Quit worrying about how to make yourself look good in a short period of time to get promoted and realize how you got there. When employees with 10+ years tenure wish they could get out you know there's a problem. All my ratings below would have been a star or two better a year or so ago.
