    Pros

    Great people and good benefits. Opportunities to work with International teams. Able to gain exposure to different industries and functions.

    Cons

    Not many opportunities to manage teams or grow your career. Long hours

    Pros

    Well established company within its sector. Very good work-life balance, with plenty of time off. Currently beating its competitors, and positive outlook for the near future.

    Cons

    I was hired as an intern post graduation, with a optimistic opportunity to join the company full time if I performed. Instead, the position was full before I even arrived at the office. In addition, work comes second to most of the employees, with many people choosing to take large amounts of the day doing pretty much nothing. In addition, many of the US offices are filled with old, dead-ended employees.

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of the large amount of uninterested employees filling up the offices at entry level jobs, and jumpstart the company by making real progression through the ranks possible.

    Pros

    Research team is very collaborative. They selflessly work together to lighten each others workload and improve client outcomes. Best colleagues I've ever worked with.
    Good to learn how recruiters view resumes.
    If you impress a consultant, you get to interact with clients at a very high level.

    Cons

    Research management runs the analysts ragged. Fairly manipulative bunch.
    Consultants sometimes treat researchers as though they are worker bees.
    Long hours.
    No upward mobility besides being lucky enough to manage other research analysts some day.

    Advice to Management

    Research management in the US needs an overhaul.

    Pros

    I have worked as a consultant for Egon Zehnder International for over 25 years until my retirement, the bulk of which was as a Partner. For me the firm has provided a perfect career opportunity to grow from a novice search consultant to a seasoned professional. I got a chance to work with, learn from, and absorb the value system of global, extremely collaborative, client service oriented Partnership, made up of some of the smartest people I have ever worked with. The firm has been more consistent in its philosophy, its values and its style than most organizations I have observed.

    Cons

    The biggest challenge for the firm is the difficulty of maintaining the standards and values propagated by its founder that sustained a small group of handpicked people working together on a ever growing and ever more globalized scale..

    Advice to Management

    Maintain the common core values (across locations psanning all continents) of the firm and the partnership as propagated by Egon for future generations of support staff, consultants and partners.

    Pros

    -Company invests a lot in their interns
    -Give a lot of important work to interns - not busy work
    -everyone is very nice, lots of training and mentorship

    Cons

    -not many as a summer intern
    -can't get to a consultant level as a research analyst
    -the work can pile up and interns are expected to balance a lot of different assignments and learn quickly

    Pros

    Only good if you are joining the research or the technology team that is known as global technology team (GTS) in case of remuneration.

    Cons

    - If you ain't joining any of the above 2, you are in for a ride.
    - Adding to my above point, remuneration is low as well for other teams.
    - Do not expect swift promotions.
    - Employees have low morale.
    - No training and development.

    Advice to Management

    When people trust there seniors, they rise to the occasion. But if they don't, they rise the occasion.
