I have been working at AT&T

Pros

compensation is good, managers and coworkers are easy to get along with

Cons

the company is so large that nobody seems to be on the same page

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I believe that the company would be much more successful if every department and organization followed the same policies and procedures. Even in just wireless, customer care does not agree with COR, national retail are cowboys, and phone support is a pain.

I have been working at AT&T

    Pros

Great benefits, 3 raises a year, hourly pay plus commission makes for a very nice paycheck. Upper management needs refreshed and needs people with practical ideas.

    Cons

The company seems to care more about business than the employee. If we did not have a union to represent us I do not see the company paying as well as they do or giving the same benefits. If they had their way it seems we would work 10+ hours a day and have one day off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ask your reps before making decisions on policy and sales incentives. It would be a good idea to create a team of reps that are there solely to give advice from the sales floor to help keep upper management up to date with daily happenings. Numbers hardly show the truth about a location. Good numbers or bad numbers, you can't understand a location without being there that is why a rep based team meeting with management would give the best feedback.
