    Mostly postive regarding coworkers, equipment and training. Regular mandatory overtime for outside forces is excessive.

    I worked at AT&T full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Good support for both outside and inside forces. Benefits and retirement plans are available. Providing a vital service to the community is very rewarding.

    Cons

    Management is numbers driven, so out of the box thinking is discouraged. Lip service is given to safety and service, the real priority is the shareholders.

    Care as much for your employees and you do for your shareholders.

    I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    getting to work alongside some great professionals in thier fields
    i have worked with many more people i respect than do not
    lots of innovation - interesting work
    good benefits
    access to upper level management when needing to reach out, take care of issues, colaborate, & more

    Cons

    company moves at the speed of snails . . . slow.
    i.e. - installation on complex services is slow & does not compete well in fast pace environment against smaller more nible telco's
    i.e. taking care of customer issues (billing, fixing services, account movement) is so slow it damages customer relationships

    company does not take care of employees who move internally in the company. i have always heard you have to leave at&t & come back to get a good base pay raise. i have been through it now a couple times & it is a very true statement

    treat current employees as well as those in the talent recruitment pool
    truly be 1 at&t - not silos. many many silos still today
