I have been working at AT&T part-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Amazing compensation compared to any part-time job
Amazing people
Amazing benefits
Management is willing to coach and help
If part-time they will work with school schedule.

Cons

High goals <-- its a con depending on how you think but since most of my co-workers complain about it I will put it in the con.
Depending on location it can be a cake-walk or very difficult

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The upper management can be harsh to the management in the store, but please don't show the stress and vent on the employees. Fight for the sales team and the sales team will support the management.

I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great benefits, hands on with new technology. Employee surveys for satisfaction and ways to submit feed back for improving processes. Discounts and tuition reimbursement. Challenging and great opportunity for career development. You will use what you learn he no matter where you go

    Cons

If you don't have a good store manager your life will be miserable. Retail schedule. Room for advancement is only in retail sales. Constant change. If you don't sell then you are out. Must find a balance between service and sales or customers especially older ones will take up all of your time and you will lose sales.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please have tact and empathy when coaching. You will get more buy in from your reps.

I worked at AT&T full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Lots of opportunities for sure. People respect your boundaries. Scalability and the concept of one are very important. They have done amazing work, and there are very talented people here.

    Cons

personal politics can get in the way, but if you are good at that game, you will go far. It can take forever to gt anything unusual done. You have to sit through lots of meetings/conference calls. No perks at the office, this aint no start up. Industry is changing, profits are shrinking.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is hard to steer a battleship...
