I worked at Accenture full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Great training, great people, ability to work across broad range of projects if you are proactive and network internally, interesting clients and opportunity to work on high impact initiatives

Cons

Long hours and face time on projects that are not well managed (although not true of all projects), semi-lock step promotion schedule instead of completely merit based, low bonuses

I have been working at Accenture full-time for more than a year

    Pros

At Accenture you can get client exposure early on in your career. You will have visibility to a lot of different types of industries, clients, client culture. You may get to climb the corporate ladder quickly.

If you like a project/ role, best to try to stay with the same management/ type of work. If you don't like a project, you can request to switch. Do this early if something is not a right fit.

    Cons

There is sometimes a sense that you are just another employee and that your individual needs are not important. If you are in a situation where you face a long commute or long hours, you may feel like you can not request a change from your manager because of a sense that someone else in your peer group will without complaint. You determine what you are willing to deal with. Set your expectations with your manager early on and touch base frequently.

The main promotion cycle is yearly, depending on what time you come in, you could be on the fast track or you could have to wait another year. Promotions are based on your work but are also strongly based on who you know in the organization. Build a strong relationship with your direct manager and career counselor.

    Pros

Good training. Excellent infrastructure. Decent compensation. Good management. Friendly work environment.
Fun activities to engage employees are undertaken regularly like off site parties and on site games, etc.
Recognition to performance and discipline is ideal.

    Cons

The transport facilities need to improve.
Unreasonable expectations of results at times, though rarely.
    HR was not easily approachable.
    Sometimes irrelevant training was provided.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve and regularize compensation. It creates a more uniform work environment.
