I worked at Advantage Sales and Marketing full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Benefits are amazing, the dept I worked for was growing quick, so there was plenty of room to grow, I worked in the corporate offices in Irvine.

Cons

The salary is way lower than a salary for the same job type with another company. Im talking over 6K a year difference, also, my boss was a micro-manager. Hated this.

    Pros

Lots of work. Constant change *could* be a "pro" if you like it. The market segment is brutal but they are fairly well established in it.

    Cons

Corporate office pay vs "field" out of alignment. Constant "throwing under the bus" Pretty much bottom of the barrel management. There are so many opportunities to own their space in a big way but they will never make it without the polished, professional managers that can actually lead. If you don't hire the people most successful in their field, how you you be the most successful in your space?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop playing to advance your own career and play to advance the company. Bring corporate office pay into alignment with the "field". Hire the best people, not the cheapest. Own your niche and stop handing it to other companies because you can't manage your way out of a paper bag.
    GO BIG OR GO HOME.
