Former Employee – worked at Amgen full-time for more than 7 years

Pros – Amgen pays great and is very focused on staff wellness, development and work/life balance. Once it was a great company to work for and the feeling of collaboration was unmatched. The environment was one that allowed staff to grow and succeed.

Cons – Amgen has steadily been outsourcing every possible function within the company and contingent workers are not treated with the same regard as full time employees. Even staff having transitioned to CW positions are suddenly "less than" and Amgen is sure to make sure that CW's are aware of their status. The recent leadership changes have created a cutthroat corporation, focused only on the bottom dollar rather than a company that has a genuine concern for staff.

Advice to Senior Management – Stop outsourcing - it's killing company morale.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
