Initially rewarding, however the last few years, micromanaging has become the norm

Management (Current Employee)

I have been working at Avis Budget Group full-time for more than 5 years

ProsManagers get a free car to drive; You can move up the management ladder IFyou are willing to relocate frequently

ConsThe "old boy network" is still existence; Some relics in management keep company from moving forward; little family/work balance.

Advice to Senior ManagementStreamline and focus. Too many "new" processes or projects being rolled out without the resources and manpower being in place; Instead of achieving excellence in a few areas, managers are forced to resort to being "fire fighters" with a emphasis on short term

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Poor managed company -semi stressful

RSA (Current Employee)
Raleigh, NC (US)

I have been working at Avis Budget Group full-time for more than 5 years

Pros: Can be a easy job on a slower day but turn to a extreme headache in the matter of minutes.… Cons: Upper management has no contact with its employees and pretty much ignores them. I rarely see any of them. Middle management is overworked and over-stressed… Advice to Senior Management: Connect with your employees and tell them whats going on in the business. Come out from your little offices and maybe get to know some… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
