I worked at Bank of America full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Massive client base that is incredibly varied in size and complexity. Well known company that until recently has had a rich history. You have the opportunity to do pretty much anything related to finance if you choose to pursue it. A lot of really good natured people that don't get enough credit.

    Cons

Management heavy organization. Recent history has caused people to have a very negative reaction to the company you work for. Red tape is never ending so it is difficult to get things done and almost impossible to do things that aren't part of the standard procedure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get back to focusing on client needs and the bottom line will increase in the end. You have a tremendous amount of client-facing associates that are very talented, give them the freedom and the tools they need to service the client as they see fit. Listen to the front line associates, they are the ones that know what clients are looking for.
