I have been working at Bank of America part-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Extremely flexible with scheduling. Great part-time job for a student. Plenty of room growth within the company as long as you can meet your referral goals.

Cons

Be ready to be micromanaged, and expect to be held accountable for referrals even for a part time employee.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Assign jobs and let each employee carry them out. If the job is not being done, then and only then step in a take control.

Flexibility with work arrangements. Good utilization of technology.

    Cons

Fair amount of red tape but to be expected with a large banking institution in the economic environment.

I worked at Bank of America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pay scale is good and that is about it.

    Cons

Poor corporate culture that lacks open communication. B of A has acquired so many companies that programs, systems and procedures are outdated. The company does not encourage communication or new ideas for improvements. Customer service and internal moral thus suffer. The company appears to be a dinosaur that is on its way out if it does not grow with the times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create an environment that encourages open communication. Update your outdates computer systems and programs.
