    Employee discount, flexible hours, good coworkers

    Cons

    Hours are very tight. Losing benefits for part time workers.

    DM should spend more than 4 hours a month in the store and listen to entire staff not just a few select staff.

    I have been working at Barnes & Noble

    Pros

    Love working for BN; came from traditional publishing and it's a world of difference, much more forward-thinking and exciting.

    Cons

    Intra-company communications are not great.

    We should not have to read in the NYT that we have a new device coming out!
