Have bad customers at times and sometimes up selling the best buy credit card was annoying at times

Great part time job in college

I worked at Best Buy part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - The employee discount is really good
     - Personally, I liked working with customers on a sparingly. You get to help customers find products, sell stuff to them but only when you cross paths on the floor. generally you don't deal with the difficult customers
     - great part time work for a college student
     - you are always up to date on the newest gadgets
     - Get decent exercise from walking around and lifting tvs and other larger objects

    Cons

    - On your feet most of the day, walking on a hard floor
     - Schedules are not as flexible due to working with the truck days

I have been working at Best Buy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

If you're in high school or college, it's good enough for spending money.

    Cons

Pay wasn't great and the managers are very demanding, always pushing you to "make your numbers" as though you aren't trying hard enough in the first place... They get a bonus if their store hits a certain figure, but the actual sales teams do not.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire better, smarter, and mor professional store managers.
