I worked at CareFusion full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Great company culture, fantastic training, supportive team environment! Benefit Package was pretty good, healthcare rates were affordable , 401k match was fantastic with the company contributing an additional discretionary 3% however, they discontinued this recently.

Cons

Salary was a bit low (70-75k) per the Industry (85-95k) and for a position requiring 80% travel/ 3-4 overnights a week. 80% overnight travel affects your home and social life, although this can't really be helped as this is a part of the job, a higher compensation could ease the pain a bit.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bump Salary up a bit to attract and retain quality candidates

    Pros

    CareFusion makes a difference in people's lives through innovative technology. There are great opportunities to improve the quality of life through their investment in technology, staff, and customers. The staff cares about the positive impacts that this has on patient's care.

    Cons

    There are too many initiatives and shortages of staff that it can be overwhelming.

    I worked at CareFusion full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    They had great senior management in the late 80's- early 90's. The company as a whole was so much better in the early years. Once the big corporations took over it was downhill from then on.
    Pretty good benefits all the years that I was employed there.

    Cons

    They do not treat their older employees well. They shove them (pressure them) out the door, or lay them off when they decide they're too old. It doesn't matter how many years you've put in, how much loyalty to the company, or how much knowledge you have acquired once you hit "that age" they get rid of you one way, or the other; especially if you are outspoken/voice your opinion, and you're a woman. If you're a "yes" person, and keep your mouth shut, then you're alright.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Value your long-time employees instead of shoving them out the door. They are an asset to your company.
