Kind of crazy, but solid payoff for working with such a big name.

I worked at Condé Nast as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Big name-recognition. Interning there had a huge part of my first couple job opportunities. We got some pretty nice swag on occassion. *Some* of the staff, particularly my department, were so sweet. Very good people.

I also was built into. The department was eager for me to learn a variety of things and get a lot of different types of experience.

    Cons

Crazy hours if you're salaried. Most people worked 8-7. They were pretty flexible with me as an intern, though.
It's typical fashion workplace/corporate america. It's fast-paced, tight deadlines, and crazy bosses that the whole office is scared of. It was eerily similar to some Devil Wears Prada scenes.

I worked at Condé Nast as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

It's a small and strong knit HR team. Work-life balance is great. If you are looking for a relaxed and stress-free work opportunity, this is the place to be at.

    Cons

The salaries are low and it takes time to climb up. The HR function is limited in scope, overlooking many administrative duties. Not many learning opportunities for HR professionals looking to grow.
