Pros

Super talented peers, awesome environment, great volunteer opportunities, etc.

Cons

Can only be promoted at year-end, not enough visibility to what other functions of Deloitte are working on, not as easy to move around in the firm as one might think

    Pros

    Deloitte is one of the best places to begin a carrier with ample guidance being provided due to a culture of mentoring in the firm.

    Cons

    Deloitte is in the bottom one third of compensation paid to employees vis-a-vis competitors. The bide your time attitude in audit practice sometimes is disturbing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Increase the compensation of employees if you want to retain the top talent. The people otherwise leave after 2-3 years with the firm.

    Pros

    Reasonable compensation and benefits packages. Plenty of education opportunities within the provided learning system. Communication is very thorough and generally relevant to the job.

    Cons

    Communications can be overwhelming in that there is a bulk of corporate emails from multiple levels of the organization. This creates a bit of confusion as to which emails are important, which are not and which ones should just be ignored.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Promotions and job recognition seem to be based on scoring that makes it difficult to place highly. Leadership should provide clear goals for each level.
