Most of the time spent at WDW was a postitive learning experience, like anything else in life, it's what you make of it.

Lake Buena Vista, FL (US)

Former Employee – worked at Disney Parks & Resorts full-time for more than 10 years

ProsVariety of roles, education opportunities, co-workers, being surrounded by talented people you wouldn't necessarily meet in a different industry, attention to safety for the Guest and over the years seeing this becoming a priority for their Cast Members also, free admission into the Parks

ConsRate of pay for many is lacking for what is expected of them (not so much as issue for my particular role)

Advice to Senior ManagementPay rate for Cast Members on the frontline that deal with the Guests needs to be addressed, unlike the 'old days' if don't have a degree it's the perception amongst non-salaried Cast members that you don't have not as much of an opportunity to advance, no matter the years of experience. Bottom dollar/overextending the 'Disney' name has become more important over the last 15 yrs than taking care of your existing Cast i.e., rate of pay, Cast celebrations being cutting back, etc. which in turn has created a negative attitude amongst even the loyal Cast that has been with you for multiple years and otherwise love working there.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
