    Pros

The support is great, the training is great. Good place to start, truly. However, BEWARE their employment contracts, and their non-competes. Luckily I live in a state where they were sued for their Right to Work Policies, but if you live in the Midwest you will never be able to leave this company with your clients

    Cons

I was successful in my area, so they flooded it with new FA's. It ruined my reputation, they competed directly with me, and I was only in my third year. SO I left. I took 80% of my clients and counting. Longer I was there I realized it really is only about making the GP's money and the whole Ted Jones nonsense is a lie to sell you on the company. They want you to gather assets, put it in fee based accounts, then quit so they never have to pay you what you earned. The sad part is that 99% of people do quit after all their hard work and never get to realize any of the money that they earned

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Blood sucking GP's need to pay people what they deserve

    Pros

Training, co-workers bend over backwards to help out new advisors.

    Cons

Build client base by going door-to-door. First performance benchmark is at four months. If not met, termination of employment is a real possibility. 14 hours days (10 on weekend) expected of new advisors. Selling front-end loaded mutual funds (5.75%) difficult when many superior no-load funds are available.
