Current Employee – been working at GFI Informatique

Pros – wide variety of work, professional office, respectful staff, modern office, good base salary, stable middle management. modern equipment, laptops, cell phones, unimpeeded internet access, easy access to transit, close to post secondary institutions, some educational assistance

Cons – complex work, lack of understanding of work complexity by senior management, poor benefits, language barrier, frequent changes in ownership, long work hours, short vacation time, time sheets, senior management makes workers feel that they are machines there to do a job not as individuals with individual needs and concerns. There are few perks for line staff, no subsidy of sports tickets, no arts programme, maternity limited to what is required by government

Advice to Senior Management – give all the employees a sense of ownership, by actually giving them ownership, either directly, or via profit sharing.
