I worked at Global Communities full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I was lucky to have a good manager who was open to new ideas. It was a great place to learn and be given opportunities. And the opportunity to travel was great.

    Cons

Unethical executive. Favoritism. High turnover. Low morale. What can be said of a company that lays off its HR department.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No sense in giving advice to people who won't listen.

I worked at Global Communities full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Strong middle management
    - Cross cutting expertise
    - Field programs often well managed
    - Some strong business development employees

    Cons

    - HQ often in disarray
    - Poor focus, attempting to transition to different types of work
    - Staff are hired for a specific task, not the long term

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Professional development is neglected and should be more of a focus. Retaining staff requires giving them the ability to move up and/or continue to learn.
