I worked at Harte Hanks full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Steady hours and pay, there are some good people that work there. Professional environment, good trainers. Location in Austin is pretty nice. If you are looking for a decent job to start out with getting experience it is a good place for it.

Cons

Not a lot of room to advance, pay is on the low end of customer service jobs. When I worked there they did not give raises. Wouldn't recommend as a career choice as the options to move up are few and far between.

I worked at Harte Hanks full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Not bad if you want a job that you won't care about or just need entry level customer service experience.

    Cons

The company does not care about it's employees, customers, or partners. Employees at anything under the upper management level are treated like morlocks. They will expect you to choose the companies goals over your family, education, children, safety, or health. Pay is well below average for most positions, especially considering the responsibilities that will be heaped on you and the sub par work conditions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees from time to time, most of them are hard-working, intelligent people that have had much better jobs prior to the recent economic decline. Morale is not a four letter word.

I worked at Harte Hanks full-time

    Pros

benefits are good. many employees are very nice.

    Cons

they dont care about your ideas even if you are thinking of the improvements in business. They change decisions all the time whih causes the employees their jobs; they don't even care about your work ethics, your dedication for many years, your contribution and kay people off which demotivates the employees left behind. They are very old school and they do not follow the trends. The top management is not ready to ask the hard questions for themselves.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your people like real human beings. Keep in mind that what you do to some also affects others. When you show no loyalty to your 20+ year emlpoyees nobody else will show you any kind of loyalty too. Do you want employees who will leave the company the first chance they get? This is what you have now.
