I have been working at Hertz full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Bonuses are performance based and are very generous; at Branch Manager level, a free car, free gas, and free insurance are provided. Lots of opportunities for advancement.

Cons

There is too much inefficiency; too many conference calls, too many emails, too much time wasted bringing cars in when needed.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Overall a good company to work for, eliminate some of the inefficiencies and it will be a great company to work for.

    I worked at Hertz full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Driving cars across the region makes the day go fast. Good vacation and sick day policies. Can sometime be easy to get time off.

    Cons

    Management, management, management. A bunch of morons. Pretty much, everybody dumb enough to stay here longer than a normal "temp job' gets promoted, so most of the managers have a degree from U of Phoenix or Devry. Pay is peanuts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Sales numbers are important in a sales based job...but in this economy, nobody is buying ancillary products so adaptation is neccesary to stop the unacceptable rate of turnover in this industry
