I worked at Hewlett-Packard as a contractor for more than 5 years

    Pros

Friendly environment with nice people. Good place to work for work-life balance and quite a stable company to work for

    Cons

One of the worse pay masters for a global MNC with less than ideal benefits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Too top heavy. Everyone is a manager, who does the actual work?

I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

They really stick to the laws, which is a good thing at the moment in Hungary. Local management is really doing their best to keep us with HP.

    Cons

The salary is way behind the industry standard. There is no way to negotiate your pay. Benefits suck. You only get to work with cheap second or third rate equipment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to act on keeping the best employees unless you want every one of them to go work for the competitors. Cost reduction can be done by other ways as closing done sites and firing all employees.
