I worked at IBM full-time for more than 10 years

Pros – Structured organisation constantly reviewed, sideways movement nearly always possible for career direction change, scope for travel, expert roles, blue chip

Cons – Very formal review processes can seem over the top, high rewards difficult to get outside Sales and top echelons of management

Advice to Senior Management – Focus on profit not on sales revenue
