Former Employee – worked at IOM full-time for more than 3 years

Pros – Friendly, bright colleagues. Clean, modern offices with up-to-date computers and hardware. Very good salary compared to standards in Syria.

Cons – Very weak management. Nepotism. Many hard-working employees feel under-appreciated. No prospects for growth or promotion within the organization, all positions feel like a dead-end job. No prospects of becoming an international employee.

Advice to Senior Management – Better motivation and appreciation of employees. Change hierarchy and structure to allow for growth among the organization's ladder.
