I worked at Imerys

Pros

You can make a lot of money here and move a lot within the company.

Cons

It's not possible to work here and not not take work home. You're basically always on call -- even on vacations.

I have been working at Imerys full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Pay is okay for the area, low to mid for the industry as a whole.

    Cons

Way to much favoritism to the point of being detrimental to the company performance. People are promoted based on brown nosing with no consideration to education, skills, knowledge, or experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Realize your employees talents and potentials and use them. The company would benefit greatly from the wise use of employees.

I worked at Imerys full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Used to be a company with high quality and high performance top management although with too much enphasis on the financial side

    Cons

Current top management looks lost, lack direction and leadership. Company is more cyclical than management is willing to admit. Centralization of decisions is on the rise. Innovation is a disaster and as a consequence growth is far behind desirable even with acquisitions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should develop sound strategies for business lines. People management and customer orientation still a lot to go

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
