“Perfect job if you are the only or primary breadwinner and work is your focus”
Former Employee – worked at Ingersoll-Rand full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – - Great opportunities for international projects
- Met incredibly talented and dedicated people from all over the world
- Awesome project managers
- Great opportunity to work on giant projects and cross cultural teams
Cons – - Most jobs are 40+, that is just the norm
- Many job are around the clock meetings and accommodation is expected
- Little to no interaction or visibility of upper level management. They do not manage by walking around.
- Be careful with benefits. They are great while you are there, but your loss when you leave and paying back tuition stinks. Use every dollar in your HSA/FSA account because they will definitely keep it.
Advice to Senior Management – - It is hard to follow a leader that you only know from the stage. Get out an meet your people. Especially Executive team. Why be so isolated from the people who deliver on your promises?
