I have been working at Integra Telecom full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Great benefits and lots of wonderful people in the organization. Commitement to the customer experience and being a community partner. Sincere attempts at transparency.Definitely heading in the right direction but must be able to endure growing pains.

Cons

Constant state of flux and internal structure is in constant state of change due to acquisitions and most recently new investors. In dire need of better training during both the onboarding process and continual professional development.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better internal communication and more defined mission and vision.

    Pros

    None at the moment and I am not trying to be dramatic

    Cons

    Constant change, misleading information, lies from upper management, lack of consistent direction, horrible hiring decisions, the list continues.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    They wouldn't listen if God, Allah, and Buddha all came with a decree for each C level in the company stating that they needed to follow their advice or perish. They would all choose to die is basically what I am saying here.

    I worked at Integra Telecom full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Generally, there is a wonderful group of dedicated employees who genuinely care for the well being of the company. Management does keep employees informed on a quarterly basis on how the business is doing. Some benefits are good (medical, for example). Company did restore pay that was reduced when the company narrowly dodged bankruptcy in 2009.

    Cons

    Senior leadership is still struggling to figure out the best way to run the business. Many management changes, constant change/reorganization in some departments (no stability), a rush to get products to market leads to quality issues and much rework, lack of processes (ready, fire, aim), little to no career path, some promises not kept, and the ole ‘do more with less’ is wearing on employees as moral is low. Company has not restored 401K matching that was taken away in 2009, when the company was teetering on going bankrupt. Still too many turf issues and some departments have a ‘my way’ attitude.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The company would at least have the opportunity be successful if a true team environment was fostered. Do the right things right.
