Strong middle managers that came from Agilent & HP; upper mgmt doesn't have a proven track record and operates by fear

    Pros

Strong mid-mgmt team that has been trained with the traditional HP-way. Respects employees and generally encourages a work-personal balance.

Has acquired good products and IP rights

    Cons

Upper mgmt wants immediate action and results with a reputation of not clearly communicating their vision/objectives. Tendency for knee-jerk actions and operate by fear instead of encouraging and accepting open-discussions and ideas.

Don't see a diverse population - from women in mgmt to diversity in the rank and file.

Remote employees are not included in company events/team-building. Company requires some employees to work remotely and has demanded others to be in-office forcing long commutes after shutting down nearby sites.

Remote employees aren't reimbursed for typical office expenses.

Unlimited vacation time - can be a Pro - if you can get the time off. (Underlying pressure to work a lot of extra hours - it's not possible for anyone to do their job in a standard workweek).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Operating by fear isn't effective. Bringing processes of all the acquisitions into a centralized system(s) is great, but have a realistic, thought out plan with adequate resources/time and a vision/objective of what the expectations are to complete.
