My time with the company went from ok to great and then slowly descended to almost nothing, relevant work was elsewhere.

Business Process Analyst (Current Employee)

ProsOnce contract award was announced and the focus went towards the Program Director, Project Manager and the team, that allowed things to really start rolling along.
Interaction between the different matrix professionals was usually extremely good, this allowed some of the more difficult pieces to the puzzle to align or be identified correctly.
In very many cases communications internal were as important as the external and that became more evident with the small successes becoming much more of the bigger picture.

ConsMany times communications with regards to folks being moved into other supporting roles on other teams as their current work was ending became a no communications situation until it was a go/no go situation, very nerve racking.
Some of the most consistent hard working folks on overhead or the business unit were just not treated well by their immediate supervisor, this sometimes made it difficult to establish good communications with the entire group. The supervisor not any of the working folks caused angst.

Advice to Senior ManagementAs acquisitions of smaller more diverse companies are added into the ever growing family, more attention needs to be paid to contractual diversity or the vehicles that support the company conducting business as a larger, more dynamic machine in the world of defense contracting. The days of the less than one million dollar contract should be gone and the entire company's game has to be raised to compete on a much grander scale.

Certain people can perform poorly or fall short of completing anything and nothing is said.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Houston, TX (US)

I have been working at Kratos Defense & Security Solutions

Pros: The company has good benefits, holidays and most of the employees care about what we do. The GM has a good attitude and I believe… Cons: Trying to do the best job possible and getting the same recognition as the people who don't do the job very well. What would make… Advice to Senior Management: Hold people accountable, let them know what is expected of them. If they don't know, then teach them. If they still can't do it then… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
