I have been working at Lloyds Banking Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Some really great people there, Get to start at 9, and finish at 5, and erm... that's about it

    Cons

I work within Business Banking Direct, and the place has steadily deteriorated from a telephone based relationship management position, to a call centre. Though they pay lip service to things like customer service, the reality is that you're pushed to sell as much to each customer, to turn a complaint into a sales call. The incessant micro-managing and clique-y nature of senior management means progression is VERY difficult, unless you happen to be quite cosy with the team leaders or the senior management... real sad given the amount of natural talent in that place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit the micro-managing, and give employees the freedom to actually do their job

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Lloyds Banking Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

wok/life balance, the strong sense of camaraderie amongst the team members. Had a good standing in the community because so many local people used this particular branch.

    Cons

tedious nature of work in retail banking resulted in the branch having a serious attitude towards hitting targets. Not hitting targets was not well-tolerated, and they were usually set quite high.
