Pros

great company, lots of bonus potential and they are verry compettitive in pay

none, i have been here 10 years and its all good...

    I have been working at Lowe's full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Descent pay once you get into a position above a CSA
    Work hours can be very flexible if you give enough of an advance notice to time off requests
    Get to work with people everyday and help with suggestions and problem solving for home projects
    Not your standard 9 to 5 cubicle job where you stare at a computer screen all day

    Cons

    Have to be able to work with many different types of personalities
    Retail hours and days of work can be somewhat demanding
    Pay is just average for CSA entry level jobs

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take more of an active role in mentoring good workers to encourage advancement through the ranks
    Take the time to ensure new employees get proper training before being set loose on the floor.

    I have been working at Lowe's part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    -You can get some surprisingly impressive experiences and responsibilities if you are willing to ask for them, or work by yourself.

    Cons

    -Training will be woefully inadequate if you are unprepared; you have to ask for help and keep a list of managers in the back of your head at all times.
    -It will sometimes seem like you're pulling Specialist responsibilities at Part time pay.

    -More job-specific training.
