Pros

Everybody there is brilliant and highly capable, and almost everyone truly cares about colleagues and clients. The variety of work is exceptional, since the firm serves nearly every major industry. The potent brand name will help you get good jobs down the road.

Cons

As in every large organization, senior leadership is sometimes out of touch with realities on the ground.

Advice to Management

Do more to recognize the contributions of associates and staff. Partners are not gods, and they don't do all the work.

    Pros

The smartest people you will ever work with, solving some of the biggest problems for the largest and most important companies, governments and organizations in the world

    Cons

Hierarchical structure leads to insecure behavior among otherwise intelligent people who are concerned about pleasing their mentors/superiors and often are forced to "sell work" to organizations that don't really need it.

    Advice to Management

Give more flexibility to problem-solvers to manage their own destiny.

  2. If you find your niche here, it's the most generative environment you can hope for

    Pros

World class training, amazing colleagues, amazing chances to have real impact at some genuinely spectacular clients

    Cons

Long hours that you have to carefully manage; atmosphere of 'I can always do more' that can be demoralizing

    Advice to Management

The West Coast office will be the first to break down fear as a motivator, and we can lead the world in this
