Chaotic - but optimistic

Long Island City, NY (US)

Former Employee – worked at MetLife full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGreat brand, solid benefits, well intentioned people "practices".

ConsENORMOUS amounts of change in a short window, with only more to come. Leadership is absolutely well intentioned, but the process to drive change is scattered and inconsistent. Several new leaders come in bright eyed and excited about driving much needed change, but they often get bogged down in meetings and deliverables. Next thing you know, they've been onboard long enough to fall into the same old same old culture of survival.

Advice to Senior ManagementSlow down. Look at the talent that you do have. Stop belabouring the point that that the talent you need isn't there. They may very well be, but you're killing them slowly.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
