    Pros

+ HW and SW designers, among the best in the world. UI/UX designers are top shelf in terms of raw ability and talent. This includes many technical leads.
+ Good general benefits, salary is satisfactory, work from home ability provided work life balance for those days which never seemed to end
    + Great international engineering talent

    Cons

    - many managers are not honest, or transparent and are lacking integrity
    - progressive ideas are still silenced by managers, then they are given the big reveal on their terms without citing original authors at times
    - absolutely too much managerial micro-management in the affairs of engineering and design.
    - never allow your best engineering talent walk out the door without fighting to keep them. The life's blood of the company is walking out of your front door.
    - stop rewarding management for incompetence

    Advice to Management

+ Read Valve Software's Employee handbook.
+ Your ability to lead does not come from the suit that you wear, and as a manager your word must be your bond, and you _must_ execute with vision.
+ listen to your employees as they are your most valuable asset, and let them do what is right for the end consumer.
+ Your best "leaders" are not the ones who have the MBA's. Your best leaders are the ones who understand engineering culture from the bottom up, and people _want_ to follow them.
+ Will be cheering for you.
