Former Employee – worked at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – *Great environment for those who like loose management (not the case 100% of the time though)
*Good benefits (Education reimbursement, 401K, health, etc)
*The company as a whole is great - fantastic CEO
*Good facilities
*Many opportunities to learn from knowledgeable people
*Fascinating work
Cons – *Very, very little accountability; those who were a detriment to the company weren't dealt with very well or at all
*Very little acknowledgement for those who performed in an outstanding manner. Generally in the form of "Lets just make everyone feel good" rather than pointing out stellar contributors
*Multiple reductions in force over the last couple of years, >50% downsizing in my division
*Poor communication between management and the production floor
*Poor design for manufacturing
*Poor designs in general many times
*Military contract dependant
Advice to Senior Management – I can't even being to stress how important communication is... all the way down the line.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
