Pros

If you like the clothes from Pacific Sunwear the 35% discount on all items is certainly a plus, also the benefit of meeting the cool and interesting customers that shop at Pacific Sunwear is also a plus.

Cons

When the store is slow, it can be extremely boring, also having to clean up after lazy customers in the dressing room can be a hassle.

    I worked at Pacific Sunwear part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    1) For Sales Associates, the job is extremely easy.
    2) Great clothes, great discount!
    3) Laid back atmosphere.

    Cons

    1) Huge workload for management, not enough payroll to help support it.
    2) There is only so far you can advance and little benefits.
    3) Raises are rare, no matter how hard you work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    offer more payroll so managers can get the work done and still maintain the customer focus, not to mention work on loss prevention! Assistant managers and key holders don't get benefits and raises unless they are full-time, so changing that could enhance work performance and morale.I am leaving the company because they all of a sudden decided to close our store, leaving me with no job in a span of 3 weeks. Get it together corporate, and treat your loyal employees better.
