Direct contact with our customers. Get an instant sense of things right and wrong.
Good sense of direction from management

Cons

Management styles vary from department to department.
Poor software for staff use over different department means different approaches to work
Training schedules vary wildly

Advice to ManagementAdvice

better communication with staff. Standardise more interdepartmental co-operation so less chances for miscommunication to the public or something falling between the cracks.

    Pros

    Coutts had a great name brand, easy to get in front of clients and Key Business Introducers. Wealth management divison seen as important part of the business.

    Cons

    Hit hard by 2008 economic crisis. Job cuts and not great atmosphere. Technology not cutting ede.

    Emphasis on teamwork, good communication, higher-ups' doors were always open.

    Cons

    Deadlines and expectations were sometimes unrealistic, but this could normally be surmounted by coordinating with other teams to ensure that the overflow was handled.
